A talk by David Warden. In 1940 Bertrand Russell was condemned by an American court as ‘morally unfit to teach philosophy’. He was subsequently awarded the Order of Merit by George VI and the Nobel Prize for Literature.
David Warden is chair of Dorset Humanists and an Honorary Member of the British Humanist Association.

Peter seemed quite keen and suggested that we explore quantum mechanics and determinism. Two reprints from New Scientist have been circulated.
9th May 2017 - Sophie, one of Bob Keats' daughters who read her own version of a physicists eulogy that she personalised for Bob at his funeral last Saturday has agreed to come along and read it to us at the May meeting. Bob's funeral was a really fantastic tribute to the man.
